Driving Innovation on the Global Stage: Akunah’s Conference Highlights
Over the past month, the Akunah team has been at the forefront of innovation, showcasing our cutting-edge solutions—REFLECT and INSIGHT—at key events globally. From ACASEA in Taiwan to the AOA and SESA conferences in Brisbane, and the Dubai Shoulder Course, we emphasized how our tools are driving the future of orthopaedic care through AI in healthcare, data analytics, and value-based healthcare.
Insight
Our AI-powered clinical analytics tool, INSIGHT, attracted great interest from surgeons eager to incorporate it into their workflows. INSIGHT helps healthcare organizations and medical device companies make more informed decisions through data-driven insights and supports post-market surveillance efforts. Its ability to collect, analyze, and control patient and clinical outcome data has proven to be invaluable for value-based healthcare initiatives, registries, clinical trials, and long-term monitoring.
Reflect
REFLECT, our preoperative planning software, received a positive reception for its ability to streamline shoulder surgical planning with intuitive workflows, especially for complex revision shoulder replacement surgeries, making it an ideal tool for optimizing patient care.
Strengthening Partnerships for Better Outcomes
At these conferences, we also reinforced our relationships with key partners and clients, including Austofix, Sironix, and Tetrous. Their support continues to drive better outcomes for surgeons and patients as we collaborate to advance orthopaedic care using AI and powerful data analytics.
A Thank You to Conference Organizers
We extend our gratitude to the organizers of ACASEA, AOA, SESA, and the Dubai Shoulder Course for hosting such impactful events. Your dedication made it possible for us to connect with industry leaders and share our innovations in AI in healthcare and value-based healthcare.
Research Corner
We’re proud to share our latest publication:
"Allograft Prosthetic Composite (APC) for Proximal Humeral Bone Deficiency in Revision Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty."
This research addresses a critical challenge in shoulder arthroplasty—planning for humeral bone deficiency in revision surgeries. Many planning tools overlook the humerus, but at Akunah, our REFLECT software leads the way with precise humeral imaging and planning, now FDA, TGA, and CDSO approved.
Congratulations to the lead author, Dr Hean Wu Kang, and the team, including Dr Christopher Child, Dr Kristine Italia, Dr Mirek Karel, Luke Gilliland, Dr Jashint Maharaj, Sarah Whitehouse, Dr Helen Ingoe, Dr Kenneth Cutbush and Prof Ashish Gupta for their outstanding work. Read more.
